Inspection Procedure

- Check if trouble occurs in the service area or outside service area.
CHECK:
Check if trouble occurs in the service area or outside service area.
RESULT:
A: Trouble occurs in the service area.
B: Trouble occurs in the outside service area.
- B: Check and operate again in the service area.
- A: Go to next step.
- Check transceiver.
CHECK:
Check that the malfunction disappears when known good transceiver is installed.
RESULT:
A: Malfunction does not disappear.
B: Malfunction disappears.
- B: Replace transceiver.
- A: Go to next step.
- Check telephone antenna.
CHECK:
Check that malfunction disappears when a good antenna and telephone antenna cable a installed.
RESULT:
A: Malfunction does not disappear.
B: Malfunction disappears.
- B: Repair or replace telephone antenna cable or antenna
- A: Go to next step.
- Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between transceiver and telephone ECU (Mayday ECU) (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE
).
- NG : Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK : Check and replace telephone ECU (Mayday ECU) (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
