Tachometer System

Check if tachometer fluctuates when the engine starts.

Is the fluctuation acceptable? 

YES: GO TO 2.

NO: GO TO  3.

1. Select "ENGINE" on CONSULT-II.
2. Using "ENG SPEED" on "DATA MONITOR", compare the value of "DATA MONITOR" with tachometer pointer of combination meter.

OK or NG 

OK: GO TO 3.

NG: Replace the combination meter. Refer to , "COMBINATION METER ".

Perform ECM self-diagnosis. Refer to , "CONSULT-II FUNCTION (ENGINE) " (QR25DE) or , "CONSULT-II FUNCTION (ENGINE) " (VQ35DE).

OK or NG 

OK: Replace combination meter. Refer to , "COMBINATION METER ".

NG: Go to ECM trouble diagnosis. Refer to , "TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS " (QR25DE) or , "TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS " (VQ35DE).
