Mode Control Cable Removal/Installation

Open the glove box. Release the glove box stop on each side, then let the glove box hang down (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Set the mode control dial to VENT ( ).
Detach the mode control cable housing from the clamp (A), and disconnect the inner cable (B) from the mode control linkage (C).

Detach the mode control cable from the mode control switch and remove it (see HEATER CONTROL PANEL DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY ).
Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the ring (D) is fastened securely in the groove (E).
- After installation, operate the controls to make sure they work properly.
