Work Procedure

WARNING:
Be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle when performing road test.
CAUTION:
Fully understand the following items well before the road test;
- Precautions: Refer to BLIND SPOT WARNING/REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (RCTA) SYSTEM SERVICE .
- System description for RCTA: Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .
- Normal operating condition: Refer to DESCRIPTION .
- CHECK BSW/RCTA SYSTEM SETTING
- Start the engine.
- Check that the BSW system setting can be enabled/disabled on the integral switch.
- Turn ignition switch OFF and wait for 30 seconds or more.
- Check that the previous setting is saved when the engine starts again.
GO TO STEP 2 .
- ACTION TEST FOR RCTA
- Enable the setting of the RCTA system on the integral switch.
- Check the RCTA operation according to the following table:
Vehicle condition Action Buzzer - R range
- 5 MPH (8 km/h)
If the radar detects an approaching vehicle from the side. - Chime sounds (single beep)
- Flashes Blind Spot Warning indicator on the side that the approaching vehicle is detected
- Yellow rectangular frame appears in the display.
Single beep No approaching vehicle No action -
Inspection End.
