Work Procedure
- WRITE DOWN THE REGISTRATION CODE FROM THE NEW / REPLACEMENT AV CONTROL UNIT
On the replacement AV control unit's label, locate and write down the registration code (1).
GO TO STEP 2 .
- SAVING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION (AV CONTROL UNIT)
CONSULT Configuration
Perform "READ CONFIGURATION" to save or print current vehicle specification. Refer to DESCRIPTION .
NOTE:If "READ CONFIGURATION" can not be used, use the "WRITE CONFIGURATION - Manual selection" after replacing AV control unit.
GO TO STEP 3 .
- REPLACE AV CONTROL UNIT
Replace AV control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
GO TO STEP 4 .
- CHECK REPLACEMENT AV CONTROL UNIT'S CONFIGURATION.
- Place the radio into Self Diagnostic mode. Refer to ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION .
- Select "Confirmation/Adjustment".
- Select "Version Information".
- If the "" matches the "ITM Part Number", GO TO 5.
- If the "" does not match the "ITM Part Number", perform the "Factory Configuration Data Initialization" from the "Initialize Settings" menu under "Confirmation/Adjustment" to clear the factory configuration data.
GO TO STEP 5 .
- WRITING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION (AV CONTROL UNIT)
CONSULT Configuration
Perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION - Config file" or "WRITE CONFIGURATION - Manual selection" to write vehicle specification. Refer to WORK PROCEDURE .
GO TO 6.
- CLEAR DTC'S AND CHECK AV SYSTEM OPERATION.
- Perform a " Self Diagnostic Result" for "MULTI AV" with CONSULT.
- Clear any DTC's in Multi AV.
- Verify operation of Multi AV system.
GO TO STEP 7 .
- REGISTER THE REPLACEMENT AV CONTROL UNIT.
Perform AV control unit registration. Refer to WORK PROCEDURE .
