Removal And Installation: Removal
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (BATTERY)

CAUTION:
- Do not shock EPS control unit e.g. drop or hit.
- Do not get EPS control unit wet with water or other liquid. Also do not give EPS control unit a radical temperature change to avoid condensation forming on EPS control unit.
- Do not disassemble or modify EPS control unit, EPS motor, torque sensor, harness or harness connectors.
- Disconnect EPS control unit harness connectors (A).

CAUTION:
- Hold and pull the harness connector housing when disconnecting harness connectors. Do not pull on the harness. Also, do not break, collapse or apply excessive force to the harness connector.
- Remove EPS control unit screws (B) and the EPS control unit (1) from bracket.
