Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK BRAKE SWITCH FUNCTION

    G-20 With CONSULT

    1. On the CONSULT screen, select "ENGINE" >> "DATA MONITOR" >> "BRAKE SW 2".
    2. Check "STOP LAMP SW" indication under the following conditions.
      Monitor item Condition Indication
      STOP LAMP SW Brake pedal Slightly depressed ON
      Fully released OFF

    G-21 Without CONSULT

    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check the voltage between ECM harness connector terminals under the following conditions.
      ECM Condition Voltage
      (Approx.)
      Connector + -
      Terminal Terminal
      E16 115 128 Brake pedal Slightly depressed Battery voltage
      Fully released 0 V

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    INSPECTION END

    NO 

    Proceed to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .
