Self Diagnosis Mode

AV CONTROL UNIT SELF DIAGNOSIS

Select Self Diagnosis.
Self diagnosis screen is displayed. The bar graph visible in center of screen indicates progress of self diagnosis.

Diagnosis results are displayed after the self - diagnosis is completed. The unit names and the connection lines are color - coded according to the diagnostic results.

1: Control Unit (AV control unit) is displayed in red.

Replace AV control unit if Self Diagnosis did not run because control unit malfunction is indicated. The symptom is AV control unit internal error. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
If multiple errors occur at the same time for a single unit, the screen switch colors are determined according to the following order of priority: red > gray.

Screen switch	Description	Possible cause
Control Unit	Malfunction is detected in AV control unit power supply and ground circuits.	AV control unit power supply and ground circuits. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE . If no malfunction is detected in AV control unit power supply and ground circuits, replace AV control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Cluster	Malfunction is detected in combination meter power supply and ground circuits.	Combination meter power supply and ground circuits. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE . If no malfunction is detected in combination meter power supply and ground circuits, replace combination meter. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
IT-Commander	Malfunction is detected in multifunction switch power supply and ground circuits.	Multifunction switch power supply and ground circuits. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE . If no malfunction is detected in multifunction switch power supply and ground circuits, replace multifunction switch. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Amplifier	Malfunction is detected in Bose speaker amp. power supply and ground circuits.	Bose speaker amp. power supply and ground circuits. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE . If no malfunction is detected in Bose speaker amp. power supply and ground circuits, replace Bose speaker amp. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
TCU	Malfunction is detected in TCU power supply and ground circuits.	TCU power supply and ground circuits. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE . If no malfunction is detected in TCU power supply and ground circuits, replace TCU. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

A Connecting Cable Between Units Is Displayed In Yellow

IT-Commander ==> Control Unit	AV communication circuits between multifunction switch and AV control unit are malfunctioning.	AV communication circuits. Refer to DTC DESCRIPTION .
Cluster ==> Control Unit	AV communication circuits between combination meter and AV control unit are malfunctioning.
Control Unit ==> Amplifier	AV communication circuits between AV control unit and Bose speaker amp. are malfunctioning.
Control Unit ==> XM Antenna	Satellite radio antenna connection malfunction is detected.	Satellite radio antenna disconnected. Refer to DTC DESCRIPTION .
Control Unit ==> GPS Antenna	GPS antenna connection malfunction is detected.	GPS antenna connector disconnected. Refer to DTC DESCRIPTION .
Control Unit ==> TCU	AV communication circuits between AV control unit and TCU are malfunctioning.	AV communication circuits. Refer to DTC DESCRIPTION .

AV CONTROL UNIT CONFIRMATION/ADJUSTMENT

Select Confirmation/Adjustment.
Select an available option on the Confirmation/Adjustment screen to display the relevant diagnosis or adjustment screen. Press the icon to return to the initial Confirmation/Adjustment screen.
