No. Component Description
1. Rear door switch RH Detects door open/close position and transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
2. Front outside handle assembly RH (request switch) Transmits door lock/unlock request signal to BCM.
3. Front door switch RH Detects door open/close position and transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
4. CVT shift selector (park position switch) Park position switch is integrated into CVT shift sector, and detects that selector lever is locked in the P position, then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION .
5. HPCM HPCM controls the vehicle.
When ignition switch is turned ON, BCM starts communication with HPCM and performs the ID verification between BCM and HPCM.
If the verification result is OK, the engine can start. If the verification result is NG, the vehicle is set to READY.
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION .
6. Stop lamp switch Detects brake pedal depressed and transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION .
7. Transmission range switch Transmission range switch detects the selector lever position, and then transmits the P/N position signal to IPDM E/R.
BCM confirms the CVT shift selector position with the following 3 signals.
  • P position signal from CVT shift selector (detention switch)
  • Neutral position signal from IPDM E/R (CAN)
  • Shift position signal from TCM (CAN)

IPDM E/R confirms the CVT shift selector position with the following 2 signals.
  • P/N position signal from transmission range switch
  • Shift position signal from TCM (CAN)

Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION .
8. IPDM E/R
  • IPDM E/R detects push-button ignition switch status, and transmits ignition switch status signal (CAN) to BCM.
  • IPDM E/R receives ignition relay-1 (IPDM E/R) control signal and ignition switch ON signal (CAN) from BCM, and controls ignition relay-1 (IPDM E/R)
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION .
9. BCM
  • BCM controls power distribution system.
  • BCM judges ignition position and vehicle condition.
  • BCM checks ignition position internally.
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION .
10. Push-button ignition switch Push-button ignition switch (push switch) is pressed (ON), and transmits status signal to BCM and IPDM E/R.
11. Front door switch LH Detects door open/close position and transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
12. Front outside handle assembly LH (request switch) Transmits door lock/unlock request signal to BCM.
13. Rear door switch LH Detects door open/close position and transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
14. Washer tank -
15. Starter cut relay (relay box) BCM controls the starter cut relay according to starter cut relay request signal from HPCM.
16. Ignition relay-2 [fuse block (J/B)]
  • Ignition relay-2 is controlled by BCM.
  • Ignition relay-2 supplies ignition ON power supply or ignition ON signal to each ECU and system when ignition is turned ON.
  • BCM compares status of ignition relay-2 control signal and ignition position judged by BCM.
  • BCM monitors ignition relay-2 operating status by ignition relay-2 feedback signal.
17. Front blower motor relay [fuse block (J/B)]
  • Front blower motor relay is controlled by BCM.
  • Front blower motor supplies ignition ON power supply or ignition ON signal to air conditioning system when ignition is turned ON.
  • BCM compares status of front blower motor relay control signal and ignition position judged by BCM.
18. Accessory relay-1 [fuse block (J/B)]
  • Accessory relay-1 is controlled by BCM.
  • Accessory relay-1 supplies accessory power supply or ignition ON signal to each ECU when ignition is turned ON.
  • BCM compares status of accessory relay-1 control signal, and ignition position judged by BCM.
