Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to WIRING DIAGRAM .
- CHECK DTC OF IPDM E/R
Check DTC in Self Diagnostic Result mode of IPDM E/R using CONSULT.
Is DTC detected?
YES
Perform the trouble diagnosis related to the detected DTC. Refer to DTC INDEX .
NO
GO TO STEP 2 .
- CHECK STARTER RELAY POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 4 .
NO
GO TO STEP 3 .
- CHECK STARTER RELAY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect IPDM E/R.
- Disconnect BCM connector.
- Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and BCM harness connector.
IPDM E/R BCM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E46 44 M83 74 Yes - Check continuity between starter relay harness connector and ground.
IPDM E/R Ground Continuity Connector Terminal E46 44 No
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 4 .
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- REPLACE BCM
- Replace BCM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform initialization of BCM and registration of all Intelligent Keys using CONSULT.
- Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE for B2605. Refer to DTC LOGIC .
Is DTC B2605 detected again?
YES
Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
Inspection End.
