Sensor ID Registration Using Transmitter Activation Tool (J-45295-A) With CONSULT

  1. With the ignition switch in OFF position, connect CONSULT scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Using CONSULT, select WORK SUPPORT in AIR PRESSURE MONITOR. Then, select ID REGIST.
  3. Select START on ID REGIST screen.
  4. With the Transmitter (J-45295) pushed against the left front tire air-valve, press the button for 5 seconds. See Fig 1.
  5. Repeat Activation Tool procedure for the remaining tires in this order: right front, right rear and left rear.
    NOTE: Be sure to register the sensor IDs in the specified order, or the self-diagnostic results display will not function properly.
  6. As each sensor ID is registered, the turn signal lights flash twice and the scan tool indicator light changes from red to green.

  7. After completing all ID registrations, press END on the CONSULT to complete the procedure.
  8. Test drive the vehicle to ensure that the TPMS lamp is OFF and no warning messages are present.
