Horn Function: DIAGNOSISPROCEDURE

- CHECK HORN SWITCH
Check horn function with horn switch
Do the horns sound?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Refer to WIRING DIAGRAM - HORN .
- CHECK HORN RELAY POWER SUPPLY
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Perform "ACTIVE TEST" ("HORN") using CONSULT.
- Check voltage between malfunctioning horn relay harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 4 .
NO
GO TO STEP 3 .
- CHECK HORN RELAY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and horn relay.
- Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and malfunctioning horn relay terminal connector.
IPDM E/R Horn relay Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E6 44 E11 1 Existed 45 E18 3 - Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.
IPDM E/R Ground Continuity Connector Terminal E6 44 Not existed 45
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
Is the inspection result normal?
INSPECTION END
