Diagnosis Procedure

1. Ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect push-button ignition switch connector and IPDM E/R connector E116.
3. Check voltage between push-button ignition switch connector and ground.

   Push-button ignition switch		Ground	Voltage (Approx.)
   Connector	Terminal
   M15	8	--	Battery voltage

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

NO

GO TO 2.

1. Disconnect BCM connector.
2. Check continuity between BCM connector and push-button ignition switch connector.

   BCM		Push-button ignition switch		Continuity
   Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
   M18	1	M15	8	Yes

3. Check continuity between BCM connector and ground.

   BCM		Ground	Continuity
   Connector	Terminal
   M18	1	--	No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

Check voltage between IPDM E/R connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 5.

NO

GO TO 4.

1. Disconnect BCM connector M18.
2. Check continuity between IPDM E/R connector and push-button ignition switch connector.

   IPDM E/R		Push-button ignition switch		Continuity
   Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
   E116	66	M15	8	Yes

3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R connector and ground.

   IPDM E/R		Ground	Continuity
   Connector	Terminal
   E116	66	--	No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation of IPDM E/R .

NO

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

Check continuity between push-button ignition switch connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 6.

NO

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

Refer to Component Inspection .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Refer to Intermittent Incident .

NO

Replace push-button ignition switch. Refer to Removal and Installation .
