Component

Function

1.

IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room)

Supplies power to the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit).

Refer to Component Location  for detailed component location.

2.

Combination meter

Mainly transmits the parking brake switch signal to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication.

Mainly receives the following signals from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:

  • ABS warning lamp signal
  • Brake warning lamp signal
  • VDC OFF indicator lamp signal
  • VDC warning lamp signal
  • Hill descent control indicator signal

Stop lamp relay

Refer to Stop Lamp Relay .

4.

Front wheel sensor LH (RH similar)

Refer to Wheel Sensor and Sensor Rotor .

5.

Brake fluid level switch

Refer to Brake Fluid Level Switch .

6.

ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) actuator and electric unit (control unit)

Refer to ABS Actuator and Electric Unit (Control Unit) .

7.

Stop lamp switch

Detects the operation of brake pedal and transmits signal to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit).

8.

Brake pedal position switch

Detects the operation of brake pedal and transmits signal to ECM (Engine Control Module).

Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Brake Pedal Position Switch .

9.

Parking brake switch

Detects the operation status of parking brake switch and transmits converted electric signal to combination meter.

10.

VDC OFF switch

Refer to VDC OFF Switch .

11.

Hill descent control switch (if equipped)

Refer to Hill Descent Control Switch .

12.

Steering angle sensor

Refer to Steering Angle Sensor .

13.

Yaw rate/side/decel G sensor
