CONSULT Function

APPLICATION ITEMS 

CONSULT can display each diagnostic item using the diagnostic test modes as follows.

CGW INFORMATION 

Display the diagnosis mode which a user can perform in Diag Test mode/Open Mode by switching the CGW status from Restricted mode to Diag Test Mode/Open Mode. For the method of switching CAN Gateway status, refer to CONSULT Function .

ECU IDENTIFICATION 

Chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) part number can be read.

SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT 

Refer to DTC Index . When "CRNT" is displayed on self-diagnosis result

When "PAST" is displayed on self-diagnosis result

Freeze frame data (FFD) 

When DTC is detected, a vehicle state shown below is recorded and displayed on CONSULT.

Variant code - Displays the vehicle specification.
AEB CVT PERMIT Off / On Displays the transaxle authorized state for intelligent engine brake function.

NOTE: SYMBOL The following table includes information (items) inapplicable to this vehicle. For information (items) applicable to this vehicle, refer to CONSULT display items.

AEB SLIP RATE [%] Displays the slip ratio of intelligent engine brake function is operating.
ABH stop hold request 1 [-] Displays but not used.
ICC status [-] Displays but not used.

ACTIVE TEST 

The active test is used to determine and identify details of a malfunction, based on self-diagnosis test results and data obtained in the data monitor. In response to instructions from CONSULT, instead of those from chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) on the vehicle, a drive signal is sent to the actuator to check its operation.

CAUTION:
  • Never perform active test while driving the vehicle.
  • Always bleed air from brake system before active test.
  • Never perform active test when system is malfunctioning.
NOTE: SYMBOL During an active test, sometimes a chassis control warning is displayed and the master warning lamp illuminates on the information display in the combination meter; however, this is not a malfunction.

BRAKE ACTUATOR 1 MODE 1 On Controls brake fluid pressure.
Off Controls brake fluid pressure.
BRAKE ACTUATOR 1 MODE 2 On Controls brake fluid pressure.
Off Controls brake fluid pressure.
MASTER WARNING ACTIVE On If touching "On" with the master warning lamp not illuminated, the master warning lamp illuminates. Stops in approximately 1 minute.
Off The master warning lamp turns OFF. (vehicle in normal state)

RE/PROGRAMMING, CONFIGURATION  programing includes the following functions.

Function Description
Re/programming, Configuration Before replacing ECU
  • Allows the reading of vehicle specification (parts number) written in chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) to store the specification in CONSULT.
  • Allows the saving of vehicle specification (parts number) written in chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) to store the specification in CONSULT.
After replacing ECU Allows the writing of vehicle information (parts number) stored in CONSULT into the chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor).
