Work Procedure

BEFORE REPLACEMENT

When replacing the BCM, save or print current vehicle specifications with CONSULT before replacement.

NOTE:

If "Before ECU Replacement" of "Vehicle Configuration" cannot be used, use "Manual Configuration" after replacing the BCM.

AFTER REPLACEMENT

CAUTION:

After replacing the BCM, always perform "Operation Log Selection" or "Manual Configuration" with CONSULT, or not doing so, the BCM control function will not operate normally. After installing a new BCM service part, if the Intelligent Key UNLOCK button is pressed before performing the configuration with CONSULT -III plus, certain BCM configuration parameters will be permanently locked in the default setting; one of these parameters is Remote Engine Start.

Complete the procedure of "Re/programming, Configuration" in order.
Configuration is different for each vehicle model. Confirm configuration of each vehicle model.
If you set incorrect "Vehicle Configuration", incidents might occur.
It is not necessary to register Intelligent Keys to a new BCM.

Work Procedure

SAVING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION
1. CONSULT
  1. Select "Re/programming, Configuration".
  2. Select the operation according to the CONSULT screen.
  3. Perform "Before ECU Replacement" of "Vehicle Configuration" to write vehicle specification.
  NOTE: If "Before ECU Replacement" of "Vehicle Configuration" cannot be used, use the "Manual Configuration" after replacing BCM. Refer to Work Procedure .

REPLACE BCM
1. Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

GO TO 3.
WRITING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION
1. CONSULT
  1. Select "Re/programming, Configuration".
  2. Select the operation according to the reference. Refer to Work Procedure .

GO TO 4.
PAIRING OF BCM AND HFM
1. Perform pairing of BCM and HFM. Press UNLOCK button of Intelligent Key.

GO TO 5.
REGISTER OF VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
1. CONSULT
  1. Select "VIN REGISTRATION" in "Work Support" mode of "BCM".
  2. Refer to CONSULT and follow the on-screen instructions.

GO TO 6.
TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ID REGISTRATION
1. Perform tire pressure sensor ID registration procedure. Refer to Work Procedure .
