Throttle Position Sensor

The TPS is connected to the throttle shaft on the throttle body. As throttle position changes, TPS output voltage varies. By monitoring TPS voltage, the ECM can determine the fuel delivery based on throttle valve angle. Voltage will vary from about .5 volts at idle to 4.5 volts at wide open throttle.
