ECM MEM-CAL Malfunction

If ECM fails to receive data from MEM-CAL, the ECM will stop sending data on circuit No. 526 and Code F32 will be set immediately. See BCM TO ECM DATA MALFUNCTION IN CIRCUIT NO. 526.

If hard Code F32 is displayed, first check to see if ECM can illuminate its service telltales while cranking engine. If not, the ECM is not operating properly and should be checked using SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK chart.

If telltales work properly, observe instantaneous fuel economy display while vehicle is moving. A malfunction in circuit No. 526 will result in a constant reading of "0" MPG.

If reading varies normally, the cause of Code F32 is a malfunction in circuit No. 491. If no circuit problem can be found, one or both modules is unable to process data and should be replaced.
