Water Deflector: Installation

  1. Install water deflector (38). See Figure .
    • If installing a new deflector (38), use old deflector (38) as a template.
    • Pull electrical connectors through their respective holes and slots in water deflector (38).
    • Apply string sealer in a continuous bead that will guide water to drain slots.
    • Insert bottom edge of water deflector (38) into retaining slots.
    • Press water deflector (38) into inner panel to ensure a good bond.
    • Apply a 75 mm (3.0") strip of tape to secure top of water deflector (38) to door inner panel.
  2. Install armrest to plate hanger (11). See Figure .
  3. Install radio speaker. See FRONT DOOR RADIO SPEAKER  .
  4. Install door trim panel. See TRIM PANEL  .
