Water Deflector: Removal

  1. Remove door trim panel. See TRIM PANEL  .
  2. Remove radio speaker. See FRONT DOOR RADIO SPEAKER  .
  3. Remove armrest plate hanger (11). See Figure .
    • Using a drill and a 1/4" bit, remove rivets.
  4. Remove water deflector.
    • Use a flat-bladed tool, such as a putty knife, to break string sealer bond.
    • Remove tape from top of water deflector (38). See Fig 1 .
    • Pull bottom edge of water deflector (38) from retaining slots.
