Description & Operation: Notes
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES
article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
The power door locks/remote keyless entry control system allows the driver to operate the vehicle door locks and the endgate window release from outside the vehicle using a hand-held radio transmitter. The transmitter operates in the UHF band; it sends coded signals to the Keyless Entry Module. The Keyless Entry Module detects and decodes the signal and issues signals to control the door locks and endgate window release. These systems can also be operated in the usual manner; for instance, the door locks will respond to the power door lock switches.
