Code 61, Cruise Vent Solenoid: Notes

Code will set if any one of the following conditions is present for more than half a second: cruise control vent solenoid circuit is shorted to voltage when solenoid is commanded off, if vent solenoid circuit is open, if circuit is shorted to ground when the PCM is commanding solenoid on.

1. Checks for short to voltage or faulty PCM.
2. Checks for short to ground or faulty PCM.
3. Checks for open cruise vent solenoid circuit.
4. Checks cruise vent solenoid circuit for open or short to ground or a faulty PCM.
5. Checks for an open in ground path or a faulty cruise control servo.
