Test No. 13, Seat Switch Output Test
- Ensure left seat switch is connected. Move front height switch to down position. Using voltmeter, backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "S" (Dark Blue wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat switch. If connections are okay, replace left seat switch.
- Move front height switch to up position. Backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "R" (Dark Green wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat switch. If connections are okay, replace left seat switch.
- Move seat switch to forward position. Backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "L" (Tan wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat switch. If connections are okay, replace left seat switch.
- Move seat switch to rearward position. Backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "M" (Light Green wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat switch. If connections are okay, replace left seat switch.
- Move rear height switch to up position. Backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "N" (Yellow wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat switch. If connections are okay, replace left seat switch.
- Move rear height switch to down position. Backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "P" (Light Blue wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat switch. If connections are okay, replace left seat switch.
- On Aurora, backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "B" (Orange wire) and ground. On Riviera, backprobe between left seat switch connector terminal "A" (Orange wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat switch. If connections are okay, replace left seat switch.
- Backprobe between ground and Purple wire at left seat/lock switch connector (Aurora) or memory seat/mirror heat switch connector (Riviera). Hold memory select switch at position 2. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat/lock switch (Aurora) or memory seat/mirror heat switch (Riviera). If connections are okay, replace left seat/lock switch or memory seat/mirror heat switch.
- Backprobe between ground and White wire at left seat/lock switch connector (Aurora) or memory seat/mirror heat switch connector (Riviera). Hold memory select switch at position 1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat/lock switch (Aurora) or memory seat/mirror heat switch (Riviera). If connections are okay, replace left seat/lock switch or memory seat/mirror heat switch.
- Backprobe between ground and Orange wire at left seat/lock switch connector (Aurora) or memory seat/mirror heat switch connector (Riviera). Hold memory select set switch. If battery voltage exists, go to TEST NO. 14, MEMORY SEAT/MEMORY MIRROR CONTROL INPUT TEST. If battery voltage does not exist, check for poor connections at left seat/lock switch (Aurora) or memory seat/mirror heat switch (Riviera). If connections are okay, replace left seat/lock switch or memory seat/mirror heat switch.
