Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the power steering pressure line from the power steering pump.
  2. Remove the screws from the coolant surge tank and set the tank aside. Refer to SURGE TANK REPLACEMENT in Engine Cooling.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the power steering pressure line from the power steering pressure line retaining bracket on the frame.
  5. Remove the power steering pressure line from the power steering gear.
  6. Remove the power steering pressure line from the retaining clip on the power steering gear.
  7. Remove the power steering pressure line from the vehicle.
