Choke - Electric Assist: Description

All rear wheel drive passenger cars are equipped with an electric assist choke to help reduce emissions during engine warm-up. Two types of electrical control units are used to regulate the heating element. A dual-stage control unit assists engine warm-up in summer and winter operation. A single-stage control unit is used to shorten choke operation during summer weather only.
