Self-Diagnostic Tests: Notes

NOTE: See the ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section before servicing any anti-lock brake system.

CAUTION: In following self-diagnostic tests, turn ignition switch to OFF position before disconnecting or connecting any components.

NOTE: Self-diagnostic tests are written specifically for Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRB). A generic scan tool may not be capable of performing all necessary test functions.

Perform VISUAL INSPECTION before proceeding with any self-diagnostic tests. Begin diagnosis with TEST 1A . DO NOT proceed to any other self-diagnostic test without first performing TEST 1A .
