Test C: A/C Compressor Function Control Test

Test C Compressor Function Control Test:

C1. Remove the connectors from the A/C Low Pressure Cutout Switch and A/C High Pressure Cut-Off Switch and connect a fused jumper between terminals of each connector.

^ If either switch is open, battery voltage will be present at terminal B of the A/C Compressor Control Relay when the jumper is connected.
^ If the A/C Low Pressure Cutout Switch is open, check for normal refrigerant charge. If refrigerant charge is normal, replace the switch. If refrigerant charge is low, refer to Leak Test. Testing and Inspection
^ If A/C High Pressure Cut-Off Switch is open, replace it.
^ If battery voltage is not present at the A/C Compressor Control Relay when the jumper is connected, check the wiring between switches for an open (see schematic).
