In the proper sequence, tighten bolts a little at a time as follows:

^ Torque bolts to 18 ft. lbs.
^ Tighten bolts an additional 60°

After completion, start engine and let engine idle until thermostat opens. Turn engine off and torque as follows:

^ Tighten an additional 30 to 50°
