Cylinder Head Bolts

Fig. 6 Cylinder head bolt tightening sequence:

In the sequence shown (refer to figure 6):

^ Torque bolts to 18 ft.lbs.
^ Tighten an additional 60°
^ Tighten an additional 60°
^ Tighten an additional 30°

Following completion, run engine until normal operating temperature is reached, then tighten all cylinder head bolts as follows:

^ Tighten bolts an additional 30-50°
