Coolant Temperature Sensor

Sensor is located on the intake manifold on 1.6L engines and on the thermostat housing on 2.0L engines. Disconnect sensor connector. Measure resistance between sensor connector terminals. Check resistance at more than one temperature to ensure resistance changes with temperature. If sensor is not to specification, replace sensor. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE table.
