Programming Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1991 Pontiac Bonneville. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When replacing transmitter or keyless entry module, do the following test steps.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF. Jumper connector terminal A to B. Door locks will lock and unlock in approximately two seconds.
  2. Depress UNLOCK button on one transmitter. Door locks will lock and unlock in approximately two seconds. The first transmitter is now programmed.
  3. Repeat step 2) using other transmitter. If only one transmitter is being used, disconnect jumper from program connector.
