Adjustable Steering Column Shaft: Disassembly

Prior to disassembly, note position of upper and lower locking grooves. See Fig 1 . Position shafts at a 90 degree angle. Rotate centering ball 90 degrees and remove shafts. Separate ball halves and remove preload spring.
