Description & Operation

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system consists of a transmitter and in-vehicle receiver (BCM). Press UNLOCK button once and release to unlock driver's door, illuminates interior lighting and disarms content theft deterrent system (if equipped). Press UNLOCK button a second time (within 1-5 seconds of first depression) to unlock remaining front door. Press LOCK to lock doors, deactivate illuminated entry and arm content theft-deterrent system. To release hatch, press bottom button marked with vehicle symbol on top cover. Vehicles equipped with automatic transmission must be in park or ignition in OFF position. On models with manual transmissions, park brake must be set and ignition switch in ON position. Press PANIC button marked with horn symbol to activate emergency panic mode. This will activate horn and parking lights intermittently until PANIC button is pressed again.

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system is intended to be used as supplemental vehicle entry system and should be used in conjunction with door lock key. RKE system may become disabled due to radio frequency interference, low battery power level or transmitter and BCM not synchronized.
