Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTE: Handle the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor carefully. A damaged IAT sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IAT sensor.
2. Pull gently but firmly on the IAT sensor (2) in order to remove the sensor from the air inlet duct.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the IAT sensor (2) into the air inlet duct grommet.
2. Push the IAT sensor (2) firmly into the grommet until the sensor is seated.
3. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
