DTC B3031: Controller In Learn Mode: Testing

- If theft deterrent diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If theft deterrent diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located below steering column. See Figure . Momentarily turn ignition switch to CRANK position, not letting engine start, release ignition switch to RUN position. Select scan tool Passlock(tm) module display DTCs function. If scan tool displays DTC B3031 as a current DTC, go to next step. If scan tool does not display DTC B3031 as a current DTC, go to step 4 .
- If scan tool does not display DTCs B2947, B2948, B2957 or B2958, go to next step. If scan tool displays DTCs B2947, B2948, B2957, B2958 or B3033, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
- Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Start vehicle. Select Passlock(tm) module DISPLAY DTC function. If DTC B3031 does not reset, system is okay at this time. If DTC B3031 resets, go to step 3 .
