Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT - IP in GAUGES AND INSTRUMENT PANELS .
  2. Remove the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT in GAUGES AND INSTRUMENT PANELS .
  3. Disconnect the vacuum line from the recirculation actuator.
  4. Lift the retaining tab in order to release the recirculation actuator and slide the actuator off of the mounting bracket.

  5. Disconnect the vacuum actuator plunger rod from the recirculation lever.
  6. Remove the recirculation actuator.
