Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the power recliner position sensor (5) to the motor (4).
  2. Slide the recliner rod through the power recliner position sensor (5) the seat back recliner motor (4), and the recliner assembly.
  3. Install a new push on nut (6) to the end of the recliner rod (2).
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the power recliner position sensor (5).
  5. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Seat Back Cover And Pad Replacement - Front  .
  6. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket 
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to ACTIVATING SYSTEM in SIR.
