Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove upper radiator baffle and air deflector. Remove Orange Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from Yellow front end discriminating sensor connector and disconnect connector. Remove front end discriminating sensor bolts. See Fig 1. Remove front end discriminating sensor.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten front end discriminating sensor bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
