Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Perform the following:
- On Chevrolet remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Chevrolet) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- On Pontiac remove the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Pontiac) or Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Chevrolet) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
Remove the screws from the HVAC control lamp.
Pull the HVAC control lamp away from the I/P
Remove the bulbs/sockets (1) from the HVAC control lamp.
Remove the bulbs from the sockets.
