Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Carefully install the bracket to the vehicle through the headliner opening, ensuring the locating tabs (1) are fully seated to the roof bow.

  3. Partially install the front bracket retaining bolts.

  5. Carefully pull down on the rearward edge of the headliner in order to expose the rear bolt installation area.
  6. Partially install the rear bracket retaining bolt.
  7. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  8. Fully seat the retaining bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

  10. Install the two rear overhead console carrier screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.2 N.m (10 lb in).

  11. Install the video display assembly. Refer to Video Display Replacement .
  12. Verify the video display for proper operation.
  13. Close the video display screen.
  14. Install the bolt cover bezel.
