Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the midgate latch to the midgate.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the midgate latch.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the screws retaining the midgate latch to the midgate.

    Tighten:  Tighten the midgate latch screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the midgate window run channel. Refer to Window Channel Replacement - Midgate .
  6. Install the midgate window. Refer to Window Replacement - Midgate .
  7. Install the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Panel Replacement - Inner .
  8. Inspect the midgate window and latches for proper operation.
