Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the upper ball joint to upper control arm pinch bolt and nut.
- Disconnect the upper control arm from the steering knuckle.
- Disconnect the ABS wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the upper control arm.
- If removing the left side, remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement in Engine Electrical.
- Gently pry out on inner fender body panel to access forward facing bolt.
- Remove the upper control arm mounting bolts.
- Remove the upper control arm.
