Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: The electrical contact on the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly must rest on the turn signal cancel cam assembly.
  1. Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Secure by using 2 pan head tapping screws.

    Tighten

    • Tighten the screw on the top of the column to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
    • Tighten the screw in the front to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
  4. Connect the connectors to the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
  5. Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
