Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the wiring harness clips (2) to the seat back frame.
  2. Install the lumbar wiring harness (3) to the seat back frame.
  3. Install the SIR wiring harness (1) to the seat back frame.

  5. Install the side impact module tub to the seat back frame with 2 push pins (1).

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  7. Install the inflatable side impact module to the seat back frame with 2 screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the side impact module screws to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  8. Install the seat belt and retractor assembly. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Front .
  9. Install the lumbar assembly. Refer to Lumbar Replacement - Front Seat .
  10. Install the front seat back panel. Refer to Seat Back Panel Replacement - Front .
  11. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front .
  12. Install the front seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front .
  13. Install the seat trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  14. Install the seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
