Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during battery installation.

Install the battery to the battery tray.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the battery hold down retainer and bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
Connect the positive battery cable bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the battery positive cable terminal bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

Connect the negative battery cable bolt. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
