Console Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement

CONSOLE ELECTRICAL CENTER OR JUNCTION BLOCK REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the front floor console.




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1,2,3) from the body control module (BCM).




4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1,2) from the console accessory wiring junction block.




5. Release the retainers (1) from the junction block.
6. Remove the junction block (2) out of the bracket.
7. Remove the BCM.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the BCM.




2. Install the console accessory wiring junction block (2) into the bracket.
3. Secure the junction block retainers (1).




4. Connect the electrical connectors (1,2) to the junction block.
5. Install the electrical connectors bolts (1,2) to the junction block. Finger tighten the bolts until seated.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (54 lb in).




6. Connect the BCM electrical connectors (1,2,3).
7. Install the front floor console.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
