Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel pressure from the fuel system. Refer toFuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
  2. Clean the fuel rail assembly and connections.
  3. Disconnect the fuel feed (1) and the fuel return pipes (2) from the fuel rail. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  5. Disconnect the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator.

  7. Remove the ignition coil wires.
  8. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.

  10. Remove the fuel rail hold-down bolts.
  11. Remove the fuel rail with equal force on both sides of the fuel rail.
