Replacement Procedure

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
  3. Remove the hood assist rods. Refer to Assist Rod Replacement - Hood .
  4. Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with an grease pencil.
  5. Remove the hood hinge to hood bolts, with an assistant.
  6. Fig 1: Hood Hinges & Bolts

  7. Remove the hood, with an assistant.
