Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 2004 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the trailing arm (3) to the trailing arm bracket.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolt (7) and nut (4) to the trailing arm (3) and the trailing arm bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt and nut to 105 N.m (77 lb ft).

  4. Install the trailing arm (3) to the knuckle (8).
  5. Install the bolt (6) and nut (2) to the trailing arm (3) and the knuckle (8).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 70 N.m + 65 degrees (52 lb ft + 65 degrees).

  6. Lower the vehicle.
