Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer toBattery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  2. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil that is being serviced.
  3. Remove the ignition coil screws (1).
  4. Remove the coil (2) from the ignition control module (3).
